Brookside Secondary School Grows with Black Dog LED Grow Lights
Black Dog LED is proud to partner with Brookside Secondary School in Ontario, Canada to provide grow lights for their Green Technologies program.
Black Dog's lights will be used in the school's green room and will help introduce students to the fundamentals of horticulture. Classes will explore techniques and career opportunities in indoor and urban farming.
Jim Daignault, a Brookside Schools teacher and school district board member says, "Black Dog LED's genuine interest in helping the students at this provincial youth centre demonstrates a willingness to help young people in need of a hand up at a time in their lives when new interests can lead them in new positive directions."
Part of Black Dog LED's mission is to educate the next generation of plant growers. Hands-on experience with new technology is paramount to learning the industry.
Noah Miller, one of Black Dog LED's owners said, "BDL is committed to working with groups like this that give back to the community and help to further indoor gardening by teaching the fundamentals to young people."
